Macaroons

Ingredients
6 ounces ground sweet almonds
8 ounces castor sugar
The whites of 2 eggs
Wafer paper
Directions
- Mix the sugar and ground almonds well together on the board, then put them into a mortar, add the whites of the eggs, and proceed to rub the mixture into a smooth paste.
- When the mixture begins to get stiff and stands up well, it is ready.
- Lay sheets of wafer paper over baking sheets and lay the biscuits on it with a spoon. Place a split almond on the top of each and bake in a cool oven for 15-20 minutes.
Delicious for a simple dessert.
